Just took out my new '05 VLX yesterrday. I really thought the boat could not be improved much, but I was wrong. You can see the ballast tank levels on a digital read out on the dash, the engine rips you out of the water, and it turns amazing even with the wedge. The wake is firmer, bigger and a little more verticle. The interior is huge and plush. Small changes like the glove box/cup holders/storage just finish it off. The illusion tower is super strong and seems to minimize pull left to right. I AM AMAZED!

I rode a "prototype" and it didn't and I was wondering if they ended up putting one in? <BR> <BR>I'd have to agree that it handles really nice w/ the wedge down...I was surprised for sure! Saw the 05 VLX at Worlds. Love it and they had a sick Batwing Carbon Fiber Illusion tower with 4 6x9 kiclers and 4 lights all molded into the tower.

I'll shoot some pics of it tomorrow when I am out shooting Storrer and Arun. <BR> <BR>Yhea compared to the 2004- it's hard, and steeper than the '04. <BR> <BR>It has the cooler (smaller than last year), but the other half is being used as storage.
