Time to upgrade my board.

Ok guys this is the part of wakeboarding that I hate. It is time to get a new board and there are so many options and choice I have NO idea where to even begin so I figured I would try here.

I currently ride a 2010 Hyperlite Forefront 139.

I am 6' 195 lbs.

I have a friend with a Watson Classic 142 and I really liked it, much lighter than my forefront and feels more aggressive.

I am looking for something lighting and little bigger than my forefront and something that just performs better all around. I am going to replace my bindings as well with some decent closed toe bindings. any suggestions?

Check out the new 12' Watson Classic (board on left). Unfortunately 12' bindings are not in yet, so I havent taken it for a test run but I did have the 11' Classic and loved it. http://tapatalk.com/mu/a6890b4c-0c38-30d2.jpg

there are lots of great boots... and boards out there it is best to try them out first if possible.
it can be super hard to demo boards pending on your location but it is much easier to try on boots. go to a store and try a few on. sure it wont be exactly the same as actually riding in them, but you can get a better feeling for how boots are gona work in the store than with boards on an in-store setting.

Alright man I just upgraded from a CWB faction to a Harley grind, totally sick board. I would highly suggest it.

Try out a 142 franchise if you can. It's an amazing board.

It is a little hard to demo boards since it is about 100 miles from the board shop to the river where we ride and we pretty much never make day trips, always 2 or 3 days at a time. I am by no means an expert rider, this is my first full year so I am still a beginner so I am pretty much looking for something that is better than my current forefront. I think I saw the Ronix one combo on evo for like 1000 bucks! that is a little high for me

We can get you a solid deal on a 2011 Humanoid. If interested, PM me. I'm on a 143 Oracle and it's really a sick board. Has some flex, but not a ton, soft landings, and it's very wide so for your size it would work out very well. Not sure on your foot size, but I also have 2012 One bindings, size 11 for sale that have never been used (got warrantied after I bought new ones).

lotta good boards and equipment out there this year, looks like 2012 is gonna be big! I have size 12-13 Soven bindings that didn't quite fit me, thought they would work, but didn't if anyone's interested they can give me a shout on my inbox here
