Just baught a new 07 2500 dodge diesel. I hear the new 07s have to be smoged. Does anyone have any answers to this ? Also has there been any problems with the new 07 ? I have the 5.9 L engine not the 6.3 new one......

It depends on where you live. Here in Nevada if the GVWR is under 10,000 lbs, then it will get smogged. You would be exempt for the first 2 years though.

why would he be exempt? i had to smog my brand new truck when i bought it, not sure why but DMV wasnt havin it

The way I understand it is the 5.9 = no smoge and the 6.7 = smoge

yea thats what i heard. Thats why i got the 5.9 and not the 6.7 smog beast

So how do you like it so far? What kind of milage are you starting out with? Have you pulled with it yet?
