When checking your transmission fluid (NOT v-drive), do you rescrew the plunger all the way tight or just place it flush without re-tightening? Of course the owners manual and Indmar manual are both saying two different things!

Does anyone have any idea?

cold it should be past the last L on full

you need to check it warm, and right as you turn it off

plunger all the way down loose

I always thought it was loose too. That is how I always check it.

Guess you didnt read my first message????? The owners manual and Indmar manual are giving TWO DIFFERENT directions on how it is supposed to be checked!

I always thought it was supposed to be checked "loose" but wanted to make sure of it..... :cool:
