Just curious, for all you surf gurus...what is the best board for staying in the pocket without really having to work at it? I have a hmmmm gosh i dont even know what it is 5.6 I think its a hyperlite green color and it seems like I need to kind of work to keep in the pocket. Would love to just be able to relax and let the wake push mne along.

We'd need to know your weight and the general size of your wake (small, medium, large) to give you an informed opinion, Daniel.

I've got the HL Broadcast 5.6, the green one. It's an OK board, but there are much better options. I've work hard to make a good wake, given that I'd say I have a medium to medium good wake. I weigh about 220 pounds, have a couple of year’s experience, and have no trouble staying in the pocket on the 5.6. The more you ride the easier it will become to just cruise.

I've found the IS Blue is a very good board for most beginners and for easy riding in the pocket. Unless your wake is very small or your really large I wouldn’t get the IS Red.

Depending on your weight and riding objectives the Shred Stixx Ja Mako or Piranha might also be very good boards. I have a chance to ride those boards about a month ago and really enjoyed the ride. I think you can carve and drive the Stixx boards a little harder, mostly because they have three fins and those fins are larger than IS stock fins.

Jeff can speak to a broader range of boards than I can.
