Nice video Dude. That looked COLD!

xbones 01-14-2010 11:58 AM

That was rad... his toe back sh*t is soooo clean.

But come on Norbi... water temps in FLA don't even get below 50 during the coldest times :P

alevitt 01-14-2010 12:11 PM

Waiting for it....

jhebert 01-14-2010 1:00 PM

yeah im calling bs on the 40 degree water temp in FL

jhebert 01-14-2010 1:32 PM

however that is the first time i have ever seen rathy throw a backroll....lol

tvreeland 01-14-2010 1:37 PM

I have never seen anyone that could ride in 40 degree water in a heater top. But then again, his riding is hot enough to keep everyone warm.

bradmo42 01-14-2010 1:38 PM

pay close attention.. his hair doesnt get wet until like 1:30 or something.. kid never falls

anthemwake 01-14-2010 1:58 PM

Me too, Adam...

behindtheboat 01-14-2010 2:01 PM

he's not wearing a vest.... it's also not posted on the main page.....

anthemwake 01-14-2010 2:03 PM

Oh, gotcha. Thanks.

behindtheboat 01-14-2010 2:06 PM

I think it's impressive all the handle pass maneuvers. I bet the gloves slightly helped, but from my experience cold/numb hands can't do a simple handle pass

lfxstar 01-14-2010 2:42 PM

INSANE that he is not wearing a full suit. Crazy Canadians!! I can't believe you were even able to film with it being so cold. My hands would have fallen off. The water very well could have been 40. We had 10+ days of subfreezing temperatures at night with the highs in the low 40s and high 30s. It felt no different than when I was just in Colorado. The humidity makes it feel REALLY cold. People must have been looking through their windows thinking they were hallucinating.

beretta5spd 01-14-2010 3:08 PM

Haha Kyle that's how we roll up here in the north! Done many sets in the 40s just wearin a vest and shorts.

beretta5spd 01-14-2010 3:13 PM

Sorry for the double post guys some days the blackberry doesn't cooperate with me

wakemikey 01-14-2010 3:27 PM

Long Live Norbi! Get about 10 of these together (on warmer days of course) and you got yourself a full length feature my friend. Put that up on Itunes for $10 and I will get it for sure.

lfxstar 01-14-2010 3:32 PM

Dwight, I really don't know how you guys do it. I can't even think when I get into water that cold except for "what the f am i thinking, I'm getting back in the boat". I hear you on the cell phone double posting. I post a lot from my iphone and accidently hit it twice sometimes then if you don't realize it with in 10 minutes, it's up permanently. Nick Davies is another one who never wears a wetsuit even in England when everyone else has one on. I realize he doesn't fall, but he still gets wet lol.

alevitt 01-14-2010 3:39 PM

Wow, 10 post before it was mentioned; must be a new WW record.

beretta5spd 01-14-2010 3:41 PM

Well our riding season is typically 4 months. And that's without a drysuit. With a drysuit you could get a couple more months out of it. Usually the only time I go out when its that cold is at the end of the year where that one trick is evading me. That's when it's time to buckle down, and get out for one more set. Hope this isn't too much of a thread hijack. Rathy just kills it, I look forward to watching the vid when I'm on my laptop.

norbiv 01-14-2010 4:15 PM

well idk about holden but We rode the projects yesterday and the water temp was 50. not 40. my bad. 50s still pretty cold when the airs like 45-40. thanks for all the feedback! glad u liked it

jdwake1 01-14-2010 4:34 PM

The water over here at mccormicks was 46 during this "arctic front" so I believe it! Nice Norbi I like how you're putting videos out fast again! KEEP UM COMING!!!! And get back down to mccormicks buddy!!!!

mofreestyle 01-14-2010 5:07 PM

Looks like Nicola's new boat is orange..wish we could get some pics of it just to see the color combination. What do u think Norbi?

jward10 01-14-2010 6:27 PM

Is it just me or does Rathy's hair make him look like Brian Deegan

daveronix199 01-15-2010 6:18 AM

Another Sick One!!! Good Job Norbi!

gti2lo 01-15-2010 6:25 AM

Ya Canuks don't have this concept of what is cold... heck we'll go out sleddin, snow boarding with it -10 out and be totally content with it...

One of my last sessions boarding this year in late October..... Did go when it was colder but no camera to take a pic of the temps.... but it was under the 100 degree combined total.

http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k212/GTI2lo/Cottage%202009/IMG_0088.jpg

norbiv 01-15-2010 9:32 AM

norbiv 01-15-2010 5:21 PM

yeah but he forgot his good gloves so thats all he had. regardless whenever the gloves get wet theyll just keep ur hands cold. I think the best solution would be those oneill neopren gloves that my friend robby holihan was using at owc a few days ago

spinnintowin 01-15-2010 8:33 PM

BS on the 40 water temp.

ftd 01-16-2010 1:23 PM

I live on Lake Holden and watched you guys riding that day. Crazy!! I did run down and check the lake temperature...52F.

Frank

(Message edited by ftd on January 16, 2010)

norbiv 01-16-2010 1:38 PM

Jeff If u would read before u write I corrected myself and said it was 50 not 40. its easy for me to get confused cause I mostly use Celsius. excuse ME!
and thanks Frank!

wesley_is_wake 01-16-2010 1:40 PM

That's still relatively cold regardless of the location it was filmed from. Very nice video.

john211 01-16-2010 2:00 PM

nice vid (as always). where's nicola's part? it looked all of cold. on an overcast day, everybody i ride with including myself start to wuss at between, say, 65-68. well, that changes with the season. it's easier to deal with the cold when there's all this eagerness after a cold winter but harder at the end after a warm summer.

norbiv 01-17-2010 8:29 AM

the nicola video still has to wait a few days cause im getting my new camera on monday. sony pmw-exr1 and im gonna shoot it on that ! =) cant wait!! I have some footage from the other day but I ended up pulling her instead of filming to I couldnt really get any shots lol

morgs 01-18-2010 8:00 AM

Sick video as always mate. Keep em coming!

grant_west 01-18-2010 8:18 AM
