Anyone ever lived in their boat?

My dad and I always joke around and say "for 110 grand you should be able to love in it!" It seems possible with some of the crazy options. Thoughts?

ottog1979 10-16-2013 10:11 AM

Well, I have "loved" in it but not lived in it. ;)

I've played around with the idea of getting an inboard sport yacht/cabin cruiser that has a small galley and a cuddy to sleep in. That way you could play all weekend comfortably without ever coming in off the water. I care more about surfing than wakeboarding, so one of those would probably work well in that regard.
A boat you can live in is a boat you can love in.
Also you can claim it as a second residence and get a tax write off...

I have "loved" in mine before too.
I have also lived in mine for a 4 day weekend over the 4th of July weekend every year. Good times!!

I totally meant live. Hahaha. Nice to know though? We have a lake house and a dock and a malibu sporster. When I get older I plan on buying a bigger boat ASAP and have always thought. Heck why not just live in it. XD

Loving on the boat is the best!

Dawn patrol for the flat water then a secluded cove for some lovin when the water gets chopped up. In for some lunch then back out for the evening session. Not to many better ways to spend the day.
Road head is nice but boat head is even better!

Just don't try to cross any rollers or drive any double ups. Bad things could happen.

Well.... This got weird. One time I saw a guy in a boat with a sheep in it.

Frankcondemslargesloths 10-17-2013 5:30 AM

Sounds pretty sick though. CANT WAIT TO HAVE MY OWN BOAT.

I can't tell anymore. I hope no one is considering buying a used inflatable sheep.

Frankcondemslargesloths 10-18-2013 2:16 PM

That orange MC is sickkkkkkkk. We use our vlx as a big couch and sit in the garage, drink and crank tunes. Neighbors think I'm nuts but they did before the boat anyway so f**k them.

Considering what moorage costs within my strata I probably should live on my boat in the summer...

I've been pitching the idea of buying a houseboat to live on during the summer to my GF... She thinks I'm just joking around... I desperately want to prove her wrong....

Get an old inboard Gibson for cheap and fix it up. A guy at our dock did it. It was amaaazzinggg. It was like a water shag wagon. XD

Technically I guess I kinda do lol... Granted its two boats, but my wakeboat is parked in front of my houseboat in the summer. Does that kinda count? I've been living on my houseboat since may. Its awesome to get off work, come 'home' and then go on butter... It got to the point where I didnt ride much on weekends or if I did it was after 5 because everybody was going in for dinner. The hope is to next year take the houseboat out, anchor it, and take the boat and go ride.

Lol. I don't know why but every time I see your name my first glance brain removes the r and puts a N, always takes a second glance. Still no dogs though
