Modify Systems to work with 2014+ boots

my boots have fallen apart after one year and I am rather annoyed. I dont want to have to buy a whole new set up now, I just want new boots.

I feel like a read back a while ago that someone took out the center bar of the bindings. anyone know if this is possible?

Is getting them warrantied not an option?

parkerbomar 07-30-2014 11:37 AM

I contacted them. so we will see. Still it would be nice to know if I can remove the center ridge.

You could probably even make some type of pad like the new ones have to go over it and just cut a section out to go around the ridge. Not sure if that makes sense but it may work.

Are you talking about grinding down the center ridge and adding a pad. I like that Idea.

codyroberts18 07-30-2014 12:53 PM

Something like that. Or just add the pad over top, and just cut a little out of the bottom of the pad so the ridge is still fully intact. Not sure, just throwing out some ideas. If they can't warranty them, I would try just about anything. But I would wait until they say they won't before I messed them up ha!

Why not just buy previous season boots?
There are loads on ebay.

The bindings themselves are what, 125 bucks or something? get a local shop to hook you up. I paid 400 bucks for my system pros and process boots

parkerbomar 07-31-2014 5:26 AM

I dropped 400 last season I don't want to do it again. Plus I have the Ltd pink ones and I wanted to stick to that

yo,
I had the 2013 Marreks and they broke within the first year bought from Evo, they replaced them with the 2014 so that was cool. Anyways Hyperlite makes adapters for the old bindings to new boots. They gave me a set with the new boots they are basically foam pads that stick to your board and fill in the toe and heel gap, they said the make landings softer but I wouldn't know because I went ahead and bought the 2014 bindings. i would just call hyperlite as I have never seen them for sale

parkerbomar 08-04-2014 10:47 AM

Update, Hyperlite has been amazing OMG.

I am completely loyal for life. after I finish wrecking my current board winching I am picking up a Hyperlite board to ride!!

Parker,

Would you please share the contact email that you used regarding your systems? My system pros broke 2 weeks ago and I still have yet to receive and email back from hyperlite using the contact form on their website.
