2008 ski supreme v212 surf wake

Hey Guys,

Anyone out there have a Ski Supreme V212 or similar and found a good setup for weighting the boat for surfing? Starboard mainly...

We have Stock hard tanks in rear @ 350lbs each side available

And two 400lb proX series bags to work with?

No center tank

Usually ride with 5 people as well.

Any recommendations would be great!

Wake doesn't seem long enough, just deep short pocket, which kicks you out quick!!

Weight in the front usually consists of one of the 400lb bags

Rear corner gets stock 350lb tank and 400lb ProX bag.

Any Everyone sits on the appropriate side as well. Boat lists pretty good

Thanks again and look forward to some feedback

Try putting the trim tab down or going faster

I surf a 2011 V212. We get a nice surf wake. Not as long as the 23 foot boats but really nice for a 21 foot. We have a 450 lb sack on top of the rear hard tank filled as full as we can get it. We have sacks under the observer seat, lead under the side seat, bow sacks under the seats and a sack on the floor in the bow under the playpen. Not sure but I think the total weight is around 1,500 lbs. We usually have 3 in the boat but last week we had 10 people. The wake was awesome. We had to play with the trim tab and speed to get a good curl. I think we set the SmartTow at 10.5 to 11 MPH.

Here are a couple of pictures of my V212 wake with 4 kids, 3 adults and one 95 lb lab in the boat.

Thanks Scott! The wave is a lot more fun to surf than our old Sanger wave. It has a nicer shape and it is longer with more push. Joe said our ballast may be closer to 2,000lbs. We will have to weigh it all out sometime so we know for sure.

You need some weight in the front too. I run a FlyHigh tube sac in the walkway to the bow. I run the trim plate at 80~100% and speed at 10.4~11.2. 2007 V212 with 2 adults. The negative of yours. HaHa

Does anybody think the extra large swim board on the v212 affects the surf wake? Has anyone replaced or modified one?

If its dragging in the water while your surfing, it will def effect the wake.

Hi Tony,
The platform is well into the water. Probably at least 4 inches on the surf side when loaded up and underway.
The platform is huge on the V212 compared to the new Supreme boat platforms . I just wondered if anybody tried to do anything with theirs and what difference it made.

Mine is teak, and I cut it down narrower by 3 inches each side and 2 inches on the length. it works great now, the platform was dragging so deep it caused a double lip on my wake

I have a V232 with the same huge platform. I've weighted it down till the rubrail is getting close to the water in the back. About 12 degrees of list. The platform does not interfere with the wake, actually someone made the comment that it looks like it is even helping to shape it.

Todd... the rub rail on the boat or the rub rail on the swim platform?

Rub rail on the boat.

When standing on the port side of the platform the water is about half way up between my foot and my knee. So rub rail on the platform is 6-9 inches underwater or so when the boat is still.

I'm planning on playing with the platform on mine for next season.
