Could somebody please give me help on the correct steps to take when going for a toeside front roll. I have searched through previous posts and cannot seem to find any decent threads on the proper steps to taking when trying it. I have been trying these now for 6 weeks, I finally landed one last thursday (very sketchy), but on friday night I didn't seem to be able to get it at all. My problem is I am not consistent on getting the correct pop, sometimes I hit it, but most of the time I throw it too early and get no height with it, I have no problem with the handle positioning or the rotation, I just want to get that pop every time instead of a hit and a miss. It is starting to bug me but I don't give up easily. Any help appreciated.

Thanks guys

(Message edited by saxosham on August 01, 2004)

1. Take a nice TS cut at the wake.
2. Stand tall at the wake (IMPORTANT) as if you were going to jump off a diving board into a pool.
3. Pick a spot directly across the wake, a tree, a hottie, a boat, shorline, whatever.
4. Be patient, get your pop and initiate your flip. You WON'T overrotate it. Atleast I'd be surprised if you do so don't worry about that.
5. Let go with your back hand to avoid a crow.
Stay tucked a tad longer than you think you need to (ie on the trampoline) because you want to land on your toes and continue to edge away from the boat.
6. Raise your hands in victory and pump them in the air a few times. You've done it.

Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback.
I landed another one tonight, they have both been very sketchy because I have slipped out on them, but they still count. Yeah I have never yet overrotated one, I find it hard to land on a toeside edge and I nearly always seem to land on my heels and slide out.
