Can I surf with a malibu 25lsv sunscape 2001?

Looking at buying a malibu 25lsv sunscape 2001. Cannot seem to find out if this boat can produce a decent wake for surfing. It does not have a wedge and I know I will need to put in a ton of ballast in the rear, mid and front. But will it make a surf wake?

I also talked to a guy that has a 04 of the same boat. I realize malibu changed the wakesetter hull in 04. Did they change the malibu 25lsv sunscape hull too and the older boats will not have a good hull design for surfing?
Thanks.. need some help here..

Post pictures of your transom. I bet you can surf it just fine with enough weight!

I have a 2003 LSV. It is a sunscape with tower and ballast. I added perfect pass this year. I have 1100# rear stb, 750# rear port, 400# stb mid, 400# port mid and 500+ in the ski locker. With the stb side full and center at 1/2 to 3/4, the surf wake is awesome. The wake is amazing for wakeboarding as well. The sunscape didn't have hard ballast, so there is more room for bags. I absolutely love the boat- plenty of room and really deep, especially in the front. It handles big water well and I don't have to worry about kids falling out of the front.

Just found this pic and looks like a diamond hull so probably isn't the greatest but doesn't mean it cant throw a wave I bet. Those are friggen huge with tons of freeboard. Put as much weight as you can in the back corner you are surfing and a sack on the surf side under the seats and maybe one on top of the surf side seats.

Should have mentioned that I have a 25 lsv. It does not have the wedge, which the one in the pic above does.
