I am about to apply gatorgrip to my teak deck and was wondering if and how anyone has done this before. I would think that it would have to be sanded down beforehand but wanted to know if any special treatment had to be applied to 1. care for the teak and 2. make the gatorgrip stick better. I love the look of the teak deck but it is slippery as hell

Normal adhesives are not going to stick to teak very well. The natural oils in the teak that protect it from water stop most things from bonding to it. I would be really surprised if the stock adhesive on Gatorgrip would stay on for any length of time.
