Replacing impeller

I have an 01 centurion elite v w a black scorpion motor. The impeller housing was cracked and fell apart. The new one came in the mail, but I want to be surei get it installed right. Any idea on whether this boat has left hand prop rotation or right hand?

The prop rotation shouldn't matter for the impeller direction, it is belt driven. Once you start the boat up the impeller will flop to the correct direction. Just make sure when you put the impeller in you use a water based lube on it for its initial start.

If you are concerned with hose placement, its a LH engine.

Don't over tighten that housing or you will be waiting for another housing. Lol be easy my friend be easy.

That's exactly what I was looking for. I thought it was left but wanted to confirm. Thanks

Are the hoses not different sizes? I'm almost positive my 350 MPI Tow is two different sizes...

The hoses are the same size, the part is marked "LH out" and RH out'. My assumption is it won't suck water if upside down. I know that one of the above post said not to over tighten. Is this because I'd crack it as I tighten or because it will cause extra fatigue over time?

It will crack right when you put it on

As is when I put the housing on the pulley or when I crank the motor over. Sorry, I probably sound like a moron.

As in if you over tighten the bolts "crack" $ down the drain. Just make them snug

Gotcha. I reassembled. Didn't use too much elbow grease
