230 skysuppreme
My buddy bought a 2004 skysupreme. Anybody Know roughly how to weight this boat and what speed? he took out the factory tank and put a 600 in its place. we put a 400 on top of this and ran a 750 on the floor and a 400 on the seat. tried a 400 in the bow, but that didnt work that great. aprox 10.3 speed. any suggestions on wake plate settings?

I have an 06' 232 which is the same hull. For Reg Side we run the stock ballast with a 750 on top of it in the locker, a 750 on the port side seat, a 450 underneith the observers seat, and a 450 on the floor as far left as possible - the wave is epic!
Trim tab always at 75% deflection PS - I do have a custom built platform which helps a lot as well. |

The board mix these days consists of a Shredd Stixx Thresher / Triple X Skimmer / Inland Surfer 4 Skim and Swallow V2 / Liquid Force Cusom
That's hydroturf on the boat - we sell it in sheets at the store (Hillside in Lakeport) and you just cut it how you want and put it on. |
TQ- what speed do you run at? I have to go 11.5 before I'll even get a wave, this is with stock rear tank, ~500 on top of that tank, 400 on the port seat near the rear and 400 on the port bow.

According to the Faria Pilot Gauge we ride at 13 +/-, but who knows how accurate that is.
With the new platform the wave is even that much better again - I'll be out with my boat and a friends 226 for four days this weekend and get some updated photos with the new platform! |
Okay, I read other places to go between 9 and 10, so I thought I was going pretty fast already. Maybe I'll speed it up a little more and see how it goes.

TQ, can I ask what's on the sides/back of the boat's walls? Camo traction pads? I like the idea of having some grip on the rails! Opps, just read through the post and saw it's HydroTurf :) Thanks!
