Whats the story on these...I have been told they are comparable to the 80's Natty 2001? Anyone sacked one out? <BR> <BR>I may have stumbled on one just down the road for pretty cheap.

No they are not. Not even close. I would keep searching.

They are fairly similar to a early 80's MasterCraft hull. Not too much freeboard so it's tough get it sacked out without sinking. Not really comparable to an Nautique 2001. Still a nice slalom boat, it will turn quicker than anything you have ever driven. Nice boat, just not that great for boarding.

I had a guy recently looking at my 85 nautique that has a supreme and hated it and wanted mine for the better wake characteristics. I would keep looking after hearing that.

I had an 87 supreme back in the day! We pulled the rear seat out and ran a 500# in the rear and side sacs beside the motor and about 70# of sand bags in the bow. Rode that wake for 6 years. Not a bad boat but the rub rails leaked on all of them.
