Epic Boats vs Shark 3D
 

Just saw this trailer last night on TV. This is the most I have seen of any wake boat in a major movie. Well kind of major.

As a diehard fan of the original Jaws, I would consider this bad press for Epic. That movie looks like it was made for Sci-Fi channel, not for cinema release.

there is no such thing as bad publicity. If the movie sucks, I dant see people equating that to a product in the movie being equal. If I see them drinking Coke, and the movie sucks, will people stop drinking Coke because the movie sucked? Will people think it is bad publicity for Coke to be in a movie that sucked? I really dont think so.

Publicity is publicity. Besides, I bet 90% of people who watch that movie have no interest in wakeboarding/wakeboats anyway. I actually like those movies however, regardless of how stupid they are. Especially the lower budget ones on the Sci-Fi channel, they're more like comedies in my eyes than horror movies.

As a huge Epic fan, and a huge fan of even really bad horror...I say SWEET!

And I agree, nobody will blame a boat if the movie isn't that great.

who cares. the girl in the white bikini in the trailers is hot! and the color set up on that epic looks sweet!

So stupid. In real life, the shark would have been scared off by the Epic's dual rudder system

sharks or not, I just want that island/house.

Josh Palma did the wakeboarding stunts for that movie so at least it's got some authenticity on the riding side too.

Its cool to see real wakeboarding and a real wakeboat in a movie. Usually its bad skiing behind a searay. Oh and good for Palma he is a class guy. Just want to know why they gotta kill off the black guy wakeboarding??? Its like Star Trek all over again. Oh there is a new black guy you know some klingon is going to kill him!!!

My comment on Epic was a
bit sarcastic. As far as the movie goes, not so much.

David, give Eric at Epic a call and he might be able to hook you up with an Epic Boats t-shirt for the give away too.

I see this as the equivalent to the Aston Martin in James Bond. Its a home run for product awareness and quite honestly, 90% of the public probably doesn't know what a real wake looks like and what it can do for you.

Saw the movie last night, It's not great. The epic looked really nice! The stripe on the dash and tower is pretty neat.

It is not suppose to be any good. It is a B rated horror. It is suppose to be super cheesy with bad acting. That is what makes it fantastic.
