I am looking for input on different props for a 2002 x-star. I have a standard 4 blade that came with the boat. <BR>I put on about 200 hours a year, all riding. I have been over 45mph only about 3 or 4 times. <BR> <BR>Who has a really low pitched prop, what is it, and how does it affect your start up and top end?

What is the size of the current prop? What motor is in the boat? How much ballast do you typically use?

Call ACME props with your current prop, normal elevation, and Wide Open Throttle RPMs, and they will hook you up wiht an awesome prop.

I have the 14.25X14.5 on my 2004 X-2, same hull with stock ballast. Love that prop, get up out of the hole like a rocket and tops out at like 35ish? I never need or want to go that fast so top end lost wasnt abig deal for me. I have the RTp motor for reference.

Acme 1235 for V-drives <BR> <BR>Your title says MC205, which is generally a direct drive. I run a Acme 13" 11.5* pitch and can run 4000lbs of ballast or pull a 200 lbs slalom skiier out of the water no problem. I lost about 4mph from the top end from my OJ 13X13. Who needs to go 50mph is a wakeboat anyway?

For stock ballast I'd run the 14.25x14.5 and with more than stock ballast I'd run a 14.25x14. Never checked the speed at WOT as we mostly run on a semi-private lake which is pretty small. We run a 2000 X-Star with the LTR 330 hp engine, 750's plumbed in the back, stock midship bag, plus one or two more 750's distributed depending (usually one in front of rear seat and one in the walkway) on how many people are in the boat. <BR> <BR>My buddy runs a pretty similar set up in his 2006 X-1 with an RTP-1 310 hp engine. Changing to the 14.25x14 was a huge increase in hole shot from the stock. Can't remember what prop that was though, prolly a 13.7x17 or 14x18.
