I am looking for the old threads where I think Grant shows his install of 6.5 interior speakers in a SAN. I have a signature series with no interior speakers and am gettin ready for summer and want to install 6 Momo's in the stock locations. The factory already cut the holes but I want to know how to properly install the speakers flush. If anyone else has photos they would be greatly appreciated!! I'm pretty nervous about cutting the vinyl and want to do it correctly. <BR> <BR>Thanks!!

Bill I think your talking about this thread. <BR>Hey some advice. The thickness of the interior is diffrent at diffrent locations. Example the Bow has thicker foam. So the spacer you need to make /install with be thicker in the bow than in the side pannels. Just make sure the thickenss of the space matches the tinckness of the foam and your speaker. <BR>Be sure to account for enough room so that when you tuck the vinyl back in and glue and staple the vinyl back to the spacer that you made enough space so the speaker fits in and around the hole real tight. Look at the pictures and let me know if you have anymore questions. If you have skill's with the Jig saw this is a easy project. How did the Cat5 system work out G, are you happy?

Darren: I scrapped the Cat 5. This time last year was when I finished my latest system. The Cat 5 was new ground for me. My Bass amp's are linked together via a chain. The signal at first amp rolls into the 2nd amp and so on down the row. After running the system for a few months I started noticing more movement in one sub vs another. You could see one sub moving over 1 inch and the 2nd sub moving only 1/2 as far. This was an intermitin problem, the next second it was ok. I traced the problem down to the Cat 5 connection. How the Cat 5 cables plug into the amp's there is quite alot of slop. Simply grabbing ahold of the RJ-45 connection at the amp and moving it around as the system played you could duplicate the problem. I dont know if the make Larger tighter fitting Cat 5 connections (RJ-45's) I played around with a few diffrent styles of cables and they all seem to have had a quite a bit of slop at the connection. It was a easy fix. $100 worth of Monster cable RCA's and the system was hitting on all 4 stronger than ever. So for me the Cat 5 didnt work out that well. That dosent mean they suck I just didnt feel like trying 20 diffrent cables till the problem went away. <BR>I didnt want to mess around
