Just curious to see what speed you guys go to do your basic inverts. I'm riding around 20mph and was wondering if that affect the height of my pop.

If you're boat speed is comfortable for you, and you're going w2w consistantly and with height, then that is enough speed to do either a backroll or a tantrum. Speeding a boat (especially from a relatively slow 20mph) will create a more firm wake and could potentially give you more pop*. For reference, behind my old searay with a tiny tiny wake, I would ride at no faster than 21mph at about 60' and could do backrolls and tantrums. Now I ride at 80' and about 23mph. It really just depends what you're comfortable at. Many pros can do 'backrolls' and 'tantrums' out in the flats (they have diffeent names out there).

-Steve

*although the wake gets smaller at faster speeds

(Message edited by kingskrew on April 27, 2006)
