Surge to Electric Brake Conversion

I have an older Chev C1500 Silverado 350 2wd that I am using to pull a 24ft Enzo. Would I really gain that much in eliminating the surge brakes and going to an electric system? I already have the electric brake module installed in my truck from the previous owner. Also any opinion on air bags for the rear as an upgrade? I live in the Northwest with lots of hills and go over the mountains several times a year.

Thanks for your input.

I use bags & compressor from Air Lift Systems, they've worked great for two years now.

Did you use the air lift system due to a lot of trailer tongue weight? Did it help on driving and tracking of the truck?

if you did the swap all you would gain is braking distance. the wear and tear on the truck brakes will go down. what issue are you trying to solve?

I never had issues with tracking ('07 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 Crew Cab), just tounge weight. After loading the boat ('07 Moomba LSV) and adding all the camping gear to the bed it was sagging a bit. Air springs support the load and the actual ride improved.
