What Head Unit?
 

Well at some point I am going to need to replace my current cheapo head unit with something better and that had USB Ipod hookup. I am thinking about placing a some type of remote on the drivers side so I can control the radio more myself (muting to talk and stuff)... So what headunits do you guys like


O ya and its gotta be single DIN

I liek the Clarion M309 with the MW1 remote or the Sony CDX 60ui with its remote

anybody else like something more???? Which is better?

Buddy's Malibu has the Alpine as well as his car too. Lives by this deck and I was pretty impressed with the IPod connectivity features and the fact that you can change the song directly from the interface without disconnecting!

Alpine makes great headunits. That's all I buy now.

Just bought the M309 but had to go with the MW2 because of size of control in my 2002 Xstar. Its a 3 inch faceI am taking the money that I saved on head unit and buying the ws 420. Nothing is installed yet so cant help you there. Just make sure your boat can handle the bigger face on the new remotes. If not you will need to do something custom or put it in a different spot. I chose to keep my the way it is and just mount the iPod next to me.

I have the Sony m60ui. It is excellent. Can control music with iPod or iPhone or with head unit.

Alpine, hands down.
