As of lately I have been Wakeskating a whole lot more than Wakeboarding. I just got a Hyperlite Byerly 107 (I noticed the 420 on the bottom the day after I bought it and was like whoooaaa kick ass), and I really like it. I havn't tried to do many tricks yet as I'm still trying to get a good feel for riding without my feet attached, but I can do butterslides. Been towed by a Jetski the past few days, which is great cause you can bog up and down the shoreline, which is a ton of fun on my lake since there is lots of way cool wildlife to see, and sticks, stumps, low trees, seaweed, sand, and overgrown grass to avoid. Pretty useless post, just thought I'd share my excitement with yall.

That's awesome that you skate behind a jetski! That would be so much fun, cause you can go more places on a lake in one of those than a boat. I have question, dyou use shoes? I have been wondering about that too. When I wakeskate, it's barefoot, and while I can carve it up pretty good like being on a surfboard, I can't land anything... best shoes to get?

Well for now I'm going with no shoes. I havn't had to many problems with it like that. Maybe one day I will get shoes, but for now it's super easy to grab my board and the rope, get on the dock and ready to go when the line gets tight.

danielle you can wear any type of shoes you want. some people just prefer wakeskate specific shoes because they are made to dry quicker. <BR> <BR>after wearing shoes i doubt you will wanna go back to barefoot, even if you ride with a foam top board. it just feels so much more solid.
