Now that hyperlite has canceled the drifter, Ive been wondering which boards are going to be similar. I like the quickness and how it holds on cuts. Im going to be demoing some boards this week and would like to get some ideas on which boards to demo. Thanks for your input.

Hi Michael, the TFD is what took the place of the Drifer/Project. It would probably ride similar, I don't know though.
Try out the Absolute or Inferno from CWB. They are both fast boards. With the fin the Absolute tracks well and edges fast, take the fin out and its pretty loose. I rode one and absolutely love it.

The absolute doesn't edge that fast and is not a very quick board. It has a large three stage rocker to provide insane pop, and the speed suffers. It is pretty slow on edge, you really have to dig.

thanks for your input guys, I will have to demo those boards next time I go out.

You should give the Blindside Assassin a try. It's fast and tracks really well, too. The Blindside Long Board Series 134 and 139 would be another option if you don't like the graphics of the Assassin. They're the same board with different graphics, but are cheaper.

Mike Dick
See Dick Ride Wakeboards
www.seedickride.com
(701)682-5515
mike@seedickrid e.com

check out a hyperlite premier.... they're really stable while allowing you to cut hard and get great pop off the lip. just my opinion

I actually used to have a premier and I was truely disapointed with it. It rode really squirly and in my opinion the pop wasnt consistant. Im not a fan of the 3stage rocker. Thanks for your input. Are most of the boards starting to go to a 3stage?? I personally feel more comfortable on a continous rocker. thanks again.

If you have access to them, give the Gator Boards Sinister 137 a try. I find it to be very responsive, fast and have really solid pop.
