Thinking about buying a 2003 Hurricane but am on a lake that has a few shallow channels that I need to go through. The Centurion website has the new Lightening at 29" but the boat is now up to 3500 lbs from the 2900 lbs it was in 2003. Anyone have an idea on the draft of a 2003 Hurricane? An older MC at 24" can typically go through very slowly with not much additional clearance. <BR> <BR>Additionally, while I'd love to have an X-2, can't really afford it. I know that there were various threads on whether Centurion was a good boat or not with mixed reviews - any feedback on the Hurricane? Anything to look for?

The 2900Lbs was never right the Hurricane was around 3500 lbs The draft was 27" <BR> <BR>The Hurricane/Lightning/Elite V/Air Warrior was one of the most popular boats Centurion ever had in the line many people loved those boats. Like almost anything on this board you can ge mixed reviews. IMHO Centurion builds a great boat. The one thing That I considered a must on that boat was the bennett trim tab

Eric, my first boat was a 2002 Centurion Hurricane. I had it until I got my Avalanche in 2006. Not one complaint from me. I did not have any problems with it at all. The boat rode and handled great. You will not be dissapointed.
