I was just wondering how long it took you guys to start getting like 5-6 feet in the air? I have been boarding alot for like 2-3 weeks now and I am only getting 2-3 feet (probaly more in the 2 range). I just want to know if it usually takes a while to really get flying high?

yea, it usually takes some time to perfect your technique, but you can also add more weight to the boat and make it alot easier.

Get some lessons from a professional. Very few of us are naturals. Even Tiger Woods still gets golf lessons.

I took a lesson from Brian Sassar, Dallas and Edmond OK. Made a big difference in my W2W air and W2W 180s. Still not getting 6', but learning the correct techniques keeps me from getting killed trying for big air. It has given me a good foundation to learn off of. I learned W2W on my own but it took a lot of speed and only about 1' of air. Now I can land in the flats with about 3-4' of air, and do large W2W 180's.

The lesson fees were worth every penny in aches and pains from trying to be self taught.
