Which and why? We're forced to ride across pretty rough seas over here to get to a nice calm stretch so what would be the most "seaworthy" wakeboardboat out there?

I don't think you could say any of the "wakeboard boats" on the market were "seaworthy" with as large of swells you could run into, except maybe the X-80. But then the wake on that boat is supposedly not all that great. <BR> <BR>One of the best handling boats on the market in terms of rough water is the Tige 24V. <BR> <BR>I'd definately stick to a bigger boat. The nautique and MC's would probably do well too, but I don't have much experience with them in rough water, so I couldn't tell you for sure.

the bigger, wider wakebaord boats are going ot be your best bet, Tige's handle the chop very well, I think the new x-2 does very good. My supra 22SSV will make your testicles detach from your body is rough seas.

I dunno what your price range is, cause I certainly couldn't afford it. But MC makes a saltwater series X-Star.

MC X-45 would be my first choice. Centurion makes a large deep V as well, can't remember the model, that has a great rough-water ride. Malibu 247 is fairly good as well.

I've ridden in and driven an X80 in Lake Michigan mid-day, and it's a beast. That thing can handle alot, and powers through some pretty rough chop. The only downside is the wakeboard wake could use some work, and its helluva expensive. I'd love to surf behind that thing, though! <BR> <BR>Look at the MC X45 or the BU 247. Those are both larger boats as well.

The Tige 24ve, we ride at lake of the ozarks, one of the roughest lakes in the country and it can handle it fine. Also check out the Malibu 25LSV, that thing is a beast. It sits in the water more like a normal runabout.

get a X45 it should work perfect!

I just got a MC X-15 salt water series. i love it. the crusader engines are great, in feels very solid and handles rough water pretty well.

Drew, do you have any pics of your new X15? I haven't seen many of that boat, and it looks sweet!

I ride in the sea in the English Channel and some times have to drive over extremely rough water with huge swells to get to a flat area to ride in. <BR>Having run various other boats in salt and the rough nothing compares to the salt water xstar we have this year. <BR>No corrosion so far and handles the swell and chop no problems. <BR>I have been in conditions so bad that any worse would be completely pointless in going out and the boats been great. <BR>If you want a wake boat for the sea this is it!! <BR>The only downside I can see is it's really expensive.

No one has mentioned the centurion line of boats. They all have a deep v hull which runs all the way back to the stern meaning they ride really well in choppy water. <BR> <BR>Like mentioned before no wakeboard boat is really sea worthy however if you can find one with suuficient freeboard and a v hull they your making the best of a bad situation. <BR> <BR>I ride in the sea in the UK and used to have a MC 190 but in anything less than ideal conditions it was not fun. Upgraded to a 22ft maxum and i now have something with good wake and good sea worthyness.

Hey Jay, what year is that maxum? Is it by any chance the same as Bayliners Wakechallenger?

I bought an x45 and it works very well in rough water. We upgraded with a trim tab as well which really helps in the chop. I would highly recommend it, we have been really satisfied.

Hey Bob, the maxum is a 97 and yes exacyly the same as the wake challenger just maxums version. Very rare boat here in the UK but great for my needs.
