Which one is the best vest? dont care about price.
O'neill, Hyperlite, Jetpilot, Ripcual, LF ?
a comfy uscg vest is the way to go. comfy depends on your body shape and the particular vest.
O'neil Vapor

Best vest Ive ever worn!
USCGA or not? If not, I just got the jetpilot molded side entry vest. It is non USCGA. I haven't got the chance to use it yet but just from wearing it I can tell that it is gonna be godly. It is conforming and very comfortable. Plus it looks tight!!
Where does O'neills vapor has the zipper?
Is there much difference between USCG and the other ones?
yea the other ones are where they drag your body out.........
shawn knows whats up. oneill vapor is by far the sickest vest out there. the zipper goes halfway up the back.
I have the O'Neill Vapor.

Pro - The most comfortable vest I've ever worn.
Con - Rode up to my ears on each crash.
O'neill Vapor for me too. Bought a size down though, and it fits great.
I have the oneill Vapor too and it is very comfortable. But it seems that when I take a hard fall the padding/material inside seems to move around. It is know to the point where it is all bunched up in one section of the vest. I have tried numerous times to put it back in place but have not been successful. Anyone else have the same problem?
What about Jetpilot(The Bonifay Orlando Baller)?
so the non-USCG don't float the same?
I believe a USCG vest is supposed to be able to float you with your lungs full of water.
Vapor - buy a size smaller like kristian said and you're set.

As for the padding moving around - it's happened to many people. You can contact Oneill and they should replace it for you (or at least fix the problem)
Any one has try Jetpilot(The Bonifay Orlando Baller) ?
The Hyperlite 5 to 10 vest is pretty cool, especially with that new Glide Skin material, but it's a full on ripp-off of the O'neil.
I had a Vapor. It was great, till it blew out of my boat on the interstate. Oh the memories... I'm 5'11" 150lbs I had a size small. fit great!
I have a Jetpilot that is not CGA and it floats me fine, but i have had problems with the padding moving arround too.
Jetpilot CellBlock hands down once you try it nothing can compare.
where cxan u get the cell block
Any Jetpilot dealer should carry it, some dealers deemed it too high end and axed it from the linup because of the 139.95 price tag which is a huge mistake cause i know i would pay an extra 40 for a vest that floated and was legal but that was so thin i never missed a pass, even though i've only got 1 ticket for wearing a non CGA vest ever it was still 88$ theres most of the cost of your vest right there.
o'neill vapor all the way!!!!
Yeah, O'neill vapour is the vest to go for. As already stated, when you try it on in the shop make sure it is a tight fit, because it will become more flexible in the water.
how bout the neil pryde 5000 series, love mine, can't believe noones mentioned it
I love my RipCurl Stealth Vest. I like the inside lumbar strap!
I got the Bonifay yesterday at the Chicago boat show and its VERY comfortable. How good will it floatme?MY cousin like the Stance molded and got that
Another vote for the vapor here!
If there is anyone that likes the comfort of the Vapor, but doesn't like how hard it is to get in and out of, I would highly recommend the O'neill outlaw. IMO it is just as comfortable. It has huge arm holes and is really thin and flexible. Plus it has a zipper in the front with a buckle so it is a lot easier to get on. Also, you can tighten the buckle up so the vest doesn't ride up on you so much.
Oneil throttle is a nice jacket,Uscg approved and good padding..feels bulky out of the water but when wet and riding i cant tell it there...

bill, if you like the throttle, but want something a little less bulky, check out the new oneill mental, same concept as the throttle, just a little lower profile.
