OK, I bought a set of 4 tower clamps from diywake recently that are 1 7/8" (the smallest clamps they make) The part of my tower I am clamping them to is an odd size, 1.686" On my tower mirror, I solved this problem by popping the top half of the clamp in the milling machine and shaving off .1" making the clamp hole slightly oval. The down tube on the tower in that spot was within .1" so this worked. The top bar being almost twice as big a difference (.189") would require a VERY oval clamp hole. I have seen plastic bushings to adapt clamps sizes, anyone know where to get those? Anyone got a better idea on modifying the clamps to fit the smaller tube?? Thanks. -James

Monster Tower has them for their racks, may you could use/modify them?

I had the same problem with my tower speakers and I just used some rubber PVC bushing thing I got at lowes. It works great.
