Howdy folks, last week I posted a note about an X9, I was just about to get the X9, I went to the dealer where I purchased my runabout, and he offered me a 2004 Tige 22v for the same price as the X9 around 40k out the door. The boat is really for my son and his friends even though I try and wakeboard sometimes. Any thoughts or comparisons on the two?

Thanks

I would go for the Tige. The X9 is a direct drive(dont know if you prefer that) versus the 22V being a V drive. Overall the 22V is going to have more storage, more seating, overall a bigger boat width and length wise and better wake performance. The best would be to demo each and decide from there.

Definately demo each of you can. The 22V is an awesome boat, well loved by it's owners, with a great wake and tons of storage. I'm quite biased towards Tige's so take that into account. The product and the people continually impress me.

I just sold my V-Drive X10 and got a X9. The Direct Drive is a great all around boat and it drives like a sports car. My V-drive had a nice wake, but the X9 will be more custom...300 added pounds and I have the same wake, but I can still ski. Cheaper too....stay with mastercraft.
