New to photography what settings for shooting from the boat?
What iso and shutter speed is typicaly
Used for shooting a wakeboarder from the boat? |
Generally speaking,
The lower the ISO the better. SS around 1000 Try shooting aperture priority f/4-f5.6 That will most likely keep your shutter speed fast enough. |
when i was taking pictures, i just put my camera on the sports setting and let it do all the work. one thing that i like to do is don't try and get the perfect picture in one shot, if you have enough room on the card hold the button down and go threw them all later. that is just my opinion though hope that helps

If you shoot on Manual or AV with a f/stop around 4 - 5.6 (could be lower) your subject will pop. IMHO your better off learning how to control your camera. I'm not a fan of shooting burst either. Here's a good tutorial by Garrett. http://www.wakeboarder.com/display.phtml?a=553 |
what type of camera are you using?

Listen to Walt, Read anything Garrett puts out there and don;t use sports mode, that's just gay
|
i use the running man all day baby, call me "gay" but iv got some bomb facebook profile pics ;)

Fuiji makes a great disposable camera with some awsome low speed film, just keep extra double a's on hand for the flash and a strong winding finger! Then bam, cover shots all day!
|
Bahaha gnarslayer that is funny. But I am with the other advice. Keep the f stop relatively low to keep the depth of focus shallower and make those pics pop
