I have been looking for a ski/wakeboard (Inboard) boat for under 8k. I recently saw an 89' Ski Challenger go up for sale with a tower and about 500hrs. What do you folks think about it. I know there are a few who really don't like the bayliners. What should I lookout for on the boat when I check it out. Thanks Scott <>< Seattle,WA.

I had a 89 challenger and put over 1200 hours on it before I traded it in. I never had one problem with the boat. We got it new in 89 and we were always good with general maintanence. It was a great boat the wake was alright for wakeboarding but I never but much weight in it to see what it could really put out. <BR>

I've never been in one but I have towed the same one in several times. I have no idea how well it has been cared for. For the price 7-8k you should be able to find a good Nautique, Malibu, or MC. I would look for something with a PCM engine.
