The refinery in my city supplies gas to most of our province, our neighboring provinces, and of course to the Northern States, yet I am paying more for gas than any of the locations mentioned. Kind of a bummer. $1.10/litre, which is about $5.00 a gallon...my math might be slightly off, but its close. Fack Me.

lakemiltonwake08 10-21-2008 2:17 PM

Nickbot, Don't get your hopes up. I wouldnt be surprised to see it shoot up back to normal soon enough.

I wish boats just ran off water... That would be so cool.

billy2603 10-21-2008 2:56 PM

cavlxenvy 10-22-2008 1:26 PM

Get ready for OPEC to ruin this nice run really soon guys. Word is they moved up a meeting originally scheduled for next month to this month to announce they will start cutting back on supply. We all know what will happen when they do this.

BTW: 3.04 here in Salinas, CA

mucktoerider 10-22-2008 2:28 PM

go to hell OPEC

mucktoerider 10-22-2008 2:41 PM

Painfully obvious that gas prices crimped the industry. Lots of 08 stock left that dealers are trying to move. Lots of 08 boats models left over. It will be interesting to say the least if gas goes up again. It has put our economy in the rears for sure. Consumer confidence is a big negative. The election will not fix what is happening right now. Unfortunately I think this spike is gas will have a long term effect. If it goes back up, I am concerned that we are in big serious trouble.

bbr 10-22-2008 4:05 PM

Any of you guys paying low 2's are lucky!

johnsvt 10-22-2008 4:13 PM

I started to put premium in now and try to spill as much gas as possible.

njskier 10-22-2008 4:59 PM

Rob F......$2.49 in Burlington, NJ.

Ewing, with all your $$ you should have stocked-up on gas back in June! J/K

westsidarider 10-22-2008 5:36 PM

3.11 in discovery bay CA, but if you have a safeway club card and earn your credits you get 30 cents off

dkmode34 10-22-2008 6:02 PM

Serious though it really isnt a good sign for things to come now that gas prices or going so low!!!!!!!!!

johnsvt 10-22-2008 7:09 PM

Lower gas prices are helping used truck and suv sales...new ones still suck.

malibuboarder75 10-22-2008 8:52 PM

Wes, people don't care about the future. Low gas prices means low oil, which means low industry, which means low jobs. People only care about the now, not the fact that they may not have a job in 2-3 years.

Do you know what low gas prices mean to a family of four who just foreclosed on their home, and don't have a stable income? Probably nothing, since they aren't driving anywhere.

trevorg7 10-22-2008 8:55 PM

$3.35 San Jose, CA

T

johnny_defacto 10-22-2008 11:21 PM

itzon 10-23-2008 7:43 AM

$2.09 in Taft, Texas according to the news, guess Taft is by Corpus Christi

salsajs3030 10-23-2008 10:19 AM

We all know that gas price prices come down after summer time. But this year (and every 4th year) there is a difference in flux.
Gas prices, election, gas prices,election... Coincidence? Yes. Expect them to go back up after the elections; sad, but true.

ezekiel700 10-23-2008 10:26 AM

Bet you were also saying the prices would hit $6.00 here by the end of year. Dont listen to that garbage on TV. Enjoy while we can and save that extra money for some new gear and extra time on the water!!

jsweat 10-23-2008 10:32 AM

the iranian pm is a ******** just wants to boost the price of crude oil to help fund development of his nuclear program. before long we are gonna have to take them out before they take us out. pretty much everyone in opec other than saudi arabia has a vendetta against the united states.

n00b 10-23-2008 11:15 AM

$5.64 per gallon in Ireland at the moment.... and it's fallen alot recently it was +$6.

gabe_folwer 10-23-2008 12:35 PM

ha cool, Ryan seibring is on here! Lost KGB? who would have thought?

$2.28 in mid missouri. I predict all will go back up after elections (but I hope not).

trdon 10-23-2008 10:15 PM

it will go up by the holidays.

And 2.29 in mn

wakeviolater 10-24-2008 8:28 AM

}OPEC slashes production, oil continues to plunge.

For the few that can still pay for the luxury of wakeboarding, this is some what good. Prices at the pump are just dropping below $3 per gallon here, and it would be very nice to get that down to $2.

romes 10-24-2008 8:40 AM

then we could get back to $10 rides...that would be AWESOME!!!!

rmcronin 10-24-2008 8:47 AM

If I can pay less than $2/gallon next summer and still have a job I may not be so depressed about all the money I've lost over the last few months.

fbmuline 10-24-2008 9:19 AM

slidell la, $2.38 this morning. first time i filled up for under $60 in forever..

cmcathy1 10-24-2008 10:08 AM

NEW YORK CITY...I HAVE NO IDEA

greers_ferry_boats 10-24-2008 11:25 AM

Oooo New York City what a big timer. We don't use cars.

cmcathy1 10-24-2008 2:07 PM

That’s right! We’ve evolved. We’d much rather commute through an overly crowded interconnected series of tunnels like the Viet Cong. Unlike you hillbillies comfortably riding around while sitting down in an air conditioned or heated car.

wakeviolater 10-24-2008 2:09 PM

did cab fares increase in the last 6 months?

cmcathy1 10-24-2008 4:47 PM

Honestly I’ve only lived here for 5 months now so I don’t really know. And in the 5 months I’ve lived here; I’ve only taken a cab to and from the airport. But I can tell you that its $81 a month for an unlimited metro card…transportation is the only affordable thing about living here.

bjeremi 10-24-2008 6:32 PM

Was in Oklahoma City today and saw a couple of gas stations that had dusted off the big number 1's!! It almost looked weird to see the 1 as the leading number.

chas 10-24-2008 11:35 PM

Mom is out visiting family in Oklahoma, said gas was 1.99

wakedad33 10-25-2008 8:23 AM

Saw on the internet this morning $1.69 in the Twin Cities, should put a smile on Nintzel's face.

26lacefield 10-25-2008 10:44 AM
