Quad MLs, Full power wedge, 2 550lbs vdrive sacks, and about 10 people. I will have to get some new pics one of these days, too busy riding.

The VLX stock ballast wake is sick. Just rode behind an 07 on some butter this morning and it does not dissapoint.

lyle 07-31-2007 11:50 AM

Ryan, are those taken from the teak?

ogopogo 07-31-2007 12:26 PM

I have posted these before, NO, they are not from the swimplatform, they are from the back middle seat where the cupholders fold down. Buddy was sitting with his chest on the back rest and elbows on the vinyl.

Not photo shopped either.

Why would we put someone in the very back when the boat is loaded so heavily, I don't really like wasting gas getting out of the water, and it would be fairly stupid to have someone there while riding at 22mph or so????

I think I might have some more.

lyle 07-31-2007 12:39 PM

just asking bro, wanted to make sure I got the full effect. Post somemore if you got em, that thing is effin huge

dizzyg 08-01-2007 9:06 AM

I'll go along with RYan D. We have an '06 and run a similar setup as him

Full quad - MLS, no wedge, 2 x FLY High Pros in the lockers and around 400-450 in lead up front. We had 6 or 7 people in the boat this weekend it that wake got even bigger, too bad the weekend warriors were out ... loved to have gotten a butter run with that thing.

06 VLX stock quad ballast, 6 people, 22.5 mph

Pretty hard to beat that wake

fullspeed 08-02-2007 8:20 PM

I agree that every picture posted is a pretty sweet wake. Malibu rocks.

duckguy 08-02-2007 9:20 PM

Malibu rocks if you havent ridden an X-Star

sidekicknicholas 08-02-2007 9:31 PM

or a SANTE

jaytique 08-02-2007 9:33 PM

ridden an x-star, vlx trumps

05mobiuslsv 08-02-2007 9:57 PM

Hey duckguy, X-star or X-far like you have. Leave it to a MC guy to try to spread hate and discontent on a Malibu thread.

want2ridealot 08-02-2007 10:11 PM

Hey Nu Bu nice boat, How do you like your Rubicons? I like thoose or the Wetsounds.

05mobiuslsv 08-02-2007 10:18 PM

Well I like them for what they do for me. They are not going to sound like wetsounds, won't be nearly as loud or carry as far. The Rubicons are probably really overpriced for what they are. They were dealer installed when I bought the boat, I don't think I would have paid the retail on these things.

mbrown 08-02-2007 10:45 PM

IMO wake pictures are worthless, every wake has a signature feel to it. It may look big and have a soft lip or it may look small but have a perfect bootable ramp. Feel (according to your individual style) is far more important than big water, which may be soft and have poor transition.

VLX wake for me = bueno
X-star does not have 25K dollar better wake, although it is nice.

lyle 08-03-2007 10:10 AM

wcw awesome pics

anyone have anymore?

westsiderippa 08-03-2007 3:02 PM

im gonna quote a friend of mine here on this one, "vlx, best out of the box wake there is" meaning from the factory to the water, stock ballest, bow ballest included and wedge this thing is a monster wake with a lip that says POW!!!! add 9 people in it, good lord its scary. but its all about your own style^^^^^^^^

wakeslife 08-03-2007 3:33 PM

I don't think anyone can really argue against that Brian...
