I have a 1998 Sanger V210 with the mercruiser Mag 350 MPI. I cannot seem to figure out why I have a very bad rough idle problem. I have done all I can think of, including changing the MAP sensor and the TPS. I have some friends coming up from so cal this weekend and would really love to have the boat back on the water! Does anyone know a dealer fairly close to Stockton, say within an hour, that has an open service appointmnet in the next day or so? Both Larson's Marine and Tracy Boat Sales are telling me no appointments until the middle of August. I am sure that my problem is something very simple and would just like to have it hooked up to a mercruiser diagnostic tool. Thanks for any help! <BR>

I've had idle problems twice on my 96 sanger. Both times is was the cap / rotor. The contacts just get a little corroded. In a pinch a piece of sandpaper cleans it up. I usually replace it each year, but the times I forgot, it came back at me.

Thanks Steve, but it has a brand new cap and rotor on it.
