I am heading down to N.D. at the end of the month. are there any wakeboard stores in either grand forks or fargo?

There is a great shop in Glyndon, MN. It's about 20 minutes east of Fargo-Moorhead on Highway 10. The name of the shop is Wakewater sports. Let me know if you need more detailed directions. The guys at Wakewater rock and will really hook you up.

The service won't be beat at Wakewater, but you'll probably find a bigger selection at Scheel's in Fargo.

Yeah, I live in Grand Forks. There is basically nothing here except for scheel's and they only sell hyperlite and ronix. And on top of that the sales people know basically nothing about wakeboards. I've never been to Wakewater so I can't tell you about them. The internet and ebay are your friend for sure in this area. Just too bad I couldn't demo my new setup.

I used to live in Fargo for 6 years. Scheels is a really good size store (claims to be America's largest All-Sports Store). About 3-4 years ago they used to carry a few different companies, sounds like that has changed?? Your best bet is Scheels though (the one in Fargo is huge!). They built it right after I moved, and right across the street from my old apartment.

I never put too much weight on how much the sales person knows. There has been a few times that I have been there where the sales person was a wakeboarder and had some good opinions. Doing your homework (wakeworld) and demoing is the really answer.

Honestly, scheels has gone really downhill in the wakeboarding department the last couple of years. They used to be pretty decent, but now their selection is pretty spotty and I am very unimpressed with their sales people. They don't seem to know what they are talking about most of the time, with the exception of a few. Wakewater carries Liquid Force, Obrien, and CWB wakeboards, along with Nautique boats. They have a lot of vests, sandals, wakeboarding apparel, etc. as well.
