For those of you who are riding with socks in their closed toe bindings, what type work best for ya?

I've got a friend who bought some close toes and he slammed his toes in to the end and bruised them. Thought I read somewhere that socks could help keep your feet more secure in the boot and help prevent that?

I think andy has officially abused the use of bahaha-hahaha

A-Dub, in my defense that is exactly how I sound when I laugh.

I wear socks, so do a bunch of people, including Murray haha. Honestly any type will work. I wear mid cut socks just because my closed toe boots don't fit as snug as they did when I first got them before they were broken it/stretched out a little bit....

I wore a thicker white tube style sock that was shaped for your ankle though with my 2008 Murray bindings. No need for the socks on my 2009's since they fixed the footbed.

I tried to do a bit and wear black dress socks but they didn't work as well. I think the thicker the better.

lfrider92 07-17-2009 12:25 PM

in my oppinion, if the bindings fit right, no reason to wear socks

eubanks01 07-17-2009 12:28 PM

David - That might be true, but you can have bindings that fit that have a slippery footbed. I think for some their boots fit fine but they just like the added comfort of socks.

Socks?? What are we? Snowboarders?

mattgettel 07-20-2009 6:47 AM

i typically wear rainbow socks like the ones pictured above, but mine have individual toes made into them...gives me WAY more control. and remember to pull them above the boot.

I may have to go to socks. My 2007 3DS bindings tore the skin off my heel this weekend. I for sure don't want that to happen again.

I hear the socks help you get ejected out of a snug pair of c-dubs.
