Pontoon Boat Slider

I want to add a slider to my family’s old pontoon boat. Maybe an A-frame or “flat box” across the bow? I would like the front and rear A-frame legs to detach or fold up when not in use. I'm pretty handy and think I can do the construction, but I'm not set on the design.

Do you think it will be long enough or will it be better to go the length of the boat? Do you think it will be stabile enough or will it rock too much from chop or a boat wake?

Has anyone seen anything like this? I'm open to ANY suggestions.

iv thought about it but i have never had access to a pontoon. i think the boat will be plenty supportive. i would go with width. Make sure the the up ramp and down ramp are not too steep, you would be suprised on how easily your slider can become a kicker

What kind of material do they use for the sliding surface on flat boxes and flat rails? Anyone know where can I get it in large sheets?
