i don't have any pics, but i just put 3 80lb sand bags under the bow of my 93 echelon

i used 150 pounds of free weights all the way up in the nose. then when we really wanna good wake we strap a 150 pound launch pad to the bow...the wake gets rock hard.

I recently started adding weight and am now a happy man. The following is my setup, which I arrived at based on input from fatsac on WW (he has the same boat as me) <BR> <BR>I ended up adding 100lbs under the rear seats and 150lbs way up in the nose (steel shot bags). Like you, I noticed that I needed to be careful crossing the wakes to pick up a rider. A friend took water over the bow when picking me up... to my horror, I watched as it ultimately washed up and over the windshield... no harm done but, at the time, I was worried about my camera gear that was in the boat. <BR> <BR>I could definitely see a difference with the 250lbs added but, after seeing fatsac's photos, I decided to add Fly High Side Sacs as well. So that added 260lbs on each side of the engine. They take floor space, but are only 12" tall... fatsac used 440lb sacs on each side of the engine, but I was afraid it would be too easy to take on water... especially with some of the other drivers. <BR> <BR>At this point I couldn't be happier. I just needed to show each person that drives it how to cross the wakes and to be aware of the bow. <BR> <BR>Sorry for the rambling... to summarize: <BR>100lbs steel (rear) <BR>150lbs steel (nose) <BR>520lbs fat sacs (260lbs each side of engine) <BR> <BR>Normally I have 3 people total in the boat, which helps a bit more. I'll take some new pics of my DX next week. I'll probably get shot for saying this but last weekend, I found the wake has more pop while using only one 450 bag across the back. I use to go with one on each side of the bonnet but tried this to ease up more room. I was surprised. <BR> <BR>Layout: <BR>150 up front <BR>100 under back seats <BR>440 in front of back seat. <BR>It's a different boat and while that isn't much weight, I found gas consumption is less, and the wake has a smooth transition with decent kick. Now, I could probably replace the seat with a fat seat and weigh the hell out of the bow to get the same wake, only bigger but the nose is already low enough.

***UPDATE*** Normally I run 1600 lbs in my closed bow/Supra..but It hasent been working since I put in a new sundeck and added weight (80-90lbs)to the rear. Heres a new pic with only 400lbs in the rear and 150-200lbs in the nose. Its clean and back to basic now, BUT! How do I make it bigger?????? This is how I do it. 750 fly high in back and the triangle 1000 in front, but I only fill it 3/4 of the way. Puts out a great wake and it is almost all hidden. I even have a 12" sub in a tip of the nose. '93 Ski Nautique. 400# on either side of the motor, 250# behind the motor, driver &amp; spotter, sometime another 250# half full in the bow (photos are without the bow weight). definitely not huge, but firm and fun. sorry, these are the best photos i have of the wake. also, basically no room to walk around in the boat. ok for me as it's kept on a lift on the lake and i only take it out for boarding.<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/486938.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/486939.jpg" alt="Upload">

if you put a 400 in the back instead of the 250, I bet the wake would be a bit peakier...worth a try

Oh, and for reference, I'm 6'2"... the wake is BIG...that is at about 24 mph and 65-70 ft.

Nick's 2001 above has a crazy nice wake! I'm sure you've all heard that before about a 80's 2001 but it still amazes me everytime I ride with him. I think the bow sack helps a ton to smooth out the wake and make it a little less "peaky".
