Air Temp 29 +Water Temp 55=bellow 100

in Florida!!! Falls way bellow the total of a hundred rule. Would anyone ride in this? I just walked the dogs and mannnnnnn was it cold

baitkiller 01-13-2011 5:41 AM

Down south here in Marco the air is 38 and climbing to 40. The water yesterday in Estero Bay was 62.4. That puts us right at 100. And no way in hell I'm getting wet. It's too cold to take a shower!

jeff_mn 01-13-2011 7:19 AM

We ride in a combined 70 in the spring and fall in MN.. Sucks but season is short..

Go shred..

downfortheride 01-13-2011 9:59 AM

If the sun's out it's time to hit it. No sun no fun!

fly135 01-13-2011 11:15 AM

I'm a 140 kind of guy.

daveronix199 01-13-2011 11:27 AM

hahaahah In canada half of our season is below the 100 rule! Suck it up!! SHRED IT!!!

jason95gt 01-13-2011 3:49 PM

Go ride! If you get cold, fall.

ttduncan 01-13-2011 4:07 PM

the lowest we have been in was a20 w40, have a pick of the truck temp but not the water, have pic of icicles dripping, growing off the boards on the tower. this thanksgiving we broke ice at the ramp to get to the water, pics of polar plunge off the dock.

but the sun was shining and it was a dry cold, so no big deal ;) , and these were usually about the last day of the year to ride so it happened knowing that we would be off for at least 3 months.

we usually use the 100 rule for determining if we use wet/dry suit, or trunks.

man up and take a ride for all of us who can't get on the water.

jdwake1 01-13-2011 4:07 PM

Yes I would you vagina.

Musgrove 01-13-2011 4:35 PM

well in louisiana my truck just froze shut by an inch thick off ice. took 30 min to get the windws clear. thats crazy for us

joeshmoe 01-13-2011 6:06 PM

otown_dave 01-13-2011 6:09 PM

otown_dave 01-17-2011 10:21 AM

hrwboarder 01-17-2011 6:56 PM

We just rode at Falls Reservoir yesterday here in NC. Water was probably around 40 and the air was around 45. Went with the dry suits and took a good set

JEr 01-23-2011 6:48 PM

Up in Alberta Canada the coldest i rode would have been water temp about 39-40 and air 44 ish. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr. As for now i am in Montreal and its -33 celsius

imondi 02-04-2011 6:31 PM

What do you guys do about the boat when the air temp is 20 degrees? Isnt it kind of hard on it to pull it out of the water and have everything freeze before you make it home?

baitkiller 02-05-2011 4:07 AM

81 over 67 today.

Starting to think... maybe.

Nah.. still too darn cold.

trdon 02-05-2011 6:24 AM

I think you southern guys just post this to irritate the northern guys. I have a hard water problem in MN, water you can sink into is water worth riding. I am in it the next day after ice out here.

will5150 02-05-2011 9:04 AM

LOL!!! ^^^ TRDON^^ very true- our water is VERY hard right now!!! We start riding here in April usually and go until mid october- Water temps start out at 50-55 and get up to 85+ in some lakes in the summer. Get a dry suit and a shorty and you're good for 6 months of riding in Minnesnowta.

benbuchholz 02-08-2011 7:30 AM

does -100 degrees work? Because we're getting close to it here in Minnesota. My temp gauge this morning. and yes that's a negative sign.

Honestly ive been in water below 50 several times, if you were here in Montreal your ass on the couch watching the snow falling and waiting 4-5 months to get on a board, you'll run on the deck, make a plunge in that ok freezy water with a shampoo bottle to wash your hair after you put up your board, you rode that **** and ROCK IT !!!! GOGOGOOGOGOG !!!
