I am looking for a boat and would like some advice. We will be using the boat for general boating, swimming, tubing and wake boarding. I have looked at the following boats that I like: Centurion Elite, Centurion Avalanche, Centurion Enzo, MB B52 V, MB B52 V23, Air Nautique 210 and Air Nautique SV-211. My children are young (10 &amp; 13) but I would like to buy a boat that they will be able to enjoy as they become good at wake boarding. I was thinking the Centurion Avalanche or Elite might be best but it sounds like they don't don't make good wakes for wake boarding. I like the quality of the Nautique and MB but not sure if they would be good boats other than just for wake boarding. <BR> <BR>Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated!! <BR> <BR> <BR>Thanks <BR>Allan

love my 211... awesome wake and surf wake with minimal extra weight...

The Nautique 211 and Centurion Avalanche will be the best family boats in my opinion... <BR> <BR>The 211 will be the most versatile of the listed boats. It's tournament certified for both wakeboarding and waterskiing by the US Waterski Association, it's plusher than the 210, and it's just a well-balanced boat. <BR> <BR>The 210 will have probably the most advanced wake of all the boats you listed. Great shape, and reacts to weight very well. I love the boat, but it's small and, IMO, somewhat uncomfortable/utilitarian. <BR> <BR>The Avalanche throws a great wakeboarding/wakesurfing wake, but will not be good for waterskiing at all: it has a deeper vee-hull, which makes it great for rough water, but displaces more water than a standard flat-bottom ski hull. It isn't built with as much care as the Nautique or MB. It isn't as much fun to drive as the Nautiques either... That having been said, I have an Avalanche, and I absolutely love it. <BR> <BR>MB has an excellently-appointed, well-built boat. It's definitely the eye-candy boat of the group... But from my perspective, I think the 211, Avalanche and Enzo all make more sense from a family watersports perspective. <BR> <BR> <BR>If boats could be compared to cars, this is how I would categorize them: <BR> <BR><b>Nautique: Porsche.</b> Beautiful but different... extremely well engineered, legendary performance and track record, no nonsense. <BR> <BR><b>Centurion: BMW 5 series.</b> performance and luxury in a competitive price range... but not as well-built as the Porsche. <BR> <BR><b>MB: Rolls Royce.</b> Beautiful car, every detail has been covered. Built equally as well as the Porsche, but with a different approach. <BR> <BR>My recommendation: <b>the Nautique 211.</b> It's a extremely well-versed boat, built like a tank, performs like a champ, is an ideal family boat. You can not go wrong with it. <BR> <BR>All that having been said... choose the boat that sticks in your mind. It will be the right boat for you!!

THe Centurions will be fine for everthing but Slalom skiing. Tubing, skiing on a pair, skining on a single ski are all just fine, I have even had people Slalom skiing but it is a big bump

i believe anodyne pretty much summed it up... if you go w/ the centurion, go w/ th avy over the elite v for sure.....just keep in mind --centurion is not (and has not) going to hold it's value like nautique-- time will tell on the "new" mb

Well I have nd a sanger a you can ask a lot of people here and they will say that the v210 has one of the best wakes (when weighted correctly). I have tubed, waterskiied, barefooted, and everything else you can think of behind it and it's great for all of it. Plus it's one of the best handeling v-drives on the market. Their a great boat.

We love our Enzo. Plenty of room for everyone (and their friends). It's perfect for me with no ballast at 18 mph, but over 20 and it flattens out. However, throw in the ballast, and it's fantastic. <BR>The little ones tube behind it, and a few bigger ones have waterskiied. <BR>Handles chop and other boat wakes like a dream. <BR>Go drive one.

I wouldn't dare say one of those boats is better than the other but I do know that I love my new MB B52 V. Just picked it up two weeks ago and took her to Lake Powell for a week. We did a little of everything and I was constantly impressed with how it handled everything very well. It has a good ski wake at ski speeds, Great boarding wake with the 1600lbs of ballast full, Great surfing wake, tubing is just tubing but that wasn't a problem, and it handled the choppy water well that always seems to kick up at Powell. I couldn't be happier with the B52 V. Fit and finish is excellent and everything is very solidly built. I'd give the MBs a good look.

Now I am leaning towards the Nautique 211, MasterCraft x-2 or the MasterCraft x-10. Anyone have any thoughts on these and which one you would choose? <BR> <BR> <BR>Thanks <BR>Allan
