Going to look at this boat tomorrow. Anybody have an opinion on it? Also, I have never owned a boat before. Does anyone have a link to a discussion/checklist on what to look for before buying a boat.

my buddy has the same boat. great boat, really wide and roomy on inside. taps? well let just say this, his boat has a mean wake with 1700#. you are gonna need to add wait but all in all its a great wake boat for its time at a great price. he paid 18500 early this year and the boat was fairly loaded, great system, 400 hrs, no perfect pass though. if it has the stock gearing in it, stock prop thoose boats are fast about 54 mph with no wait on gps. but the wierd thing is the speedo only goes to like 35 mph. great boat post pics of it.

I have an 01, and as stated above, it's great with extra lbs. I run a one ton spread, and the wake is plenty for whoever you are. Be vigil on the bow over rollers, and their a great sled...

We have a 2000 also. We load it up with 1000 up to 1850 lbs. It`s one of the best and biggest wakes I know. We also surf behind it and the surfwake is really good on the portside.
We`re gonna be over 2000 hrs this year and we`re pretty happy with tear and wear.
Only downside the original vinyl doesn`t last very long.
If You get it for somewhere around 20k and it`s not a lemon, it`s about the best wakeboat You can get in that price range.

I was looking at these boats as well but then I heard that the spray pockets disrupt the wake by making it wash out at the top. Is this not true?

That "might" be true^, but then again, they didn't have that boat weighted correctly. It's an ez dial, if you know how to tune the wake. Move people around, even it out, 50-50 front to back. I have never had the problem mentioned above.

I would suggest Batman's web reference. I did a search on the word "spray pockets" and got a lot of good information.
