hymaeringo 06-09-2005 3:48 PM

I also am a fan of honkeys and F4a

nj_alex 06-09-2005 4:05 PM

12 Honkeys, the original video version. Not the DVD mutation.

Butter Effect
Relentless
Pre Pop

kristian 06-10-2005 5:45 AM

Don't forget NBT.

eastcoastjedi 06-10-2005 8:08 AM

Hit It, Spray and of course Mayday...
Jerry and Artie have moved onto other things but FLF helped in a big way to define what wakeboarding (and snowboarding for that matter)is today.
I was fortunate enough to share an office with Greg Nelson, Jerry and Artie for a few years while I worked at DoubleUP.... Good Bros and Good times.

d_rock 06-10-2005 8:09 AM

I second Natural Born Thrillaz, then All or Nothing

draino 06-10-2005 8:40 AM

Aw come on Alex. DVD mutation? just hit stop when thomas takes the chicken head off.

thane_dogg 06-10-2005 10:27 AM

in no particular order:

Natural Born Thrillaz
Boombox
Pre-pop

All or Nothing and Welcome were both lame.

I gotta watch Butter Effect.

jarrod 06-10-2005 10:37 AM

All or Nothing was lame? How so?

ttrigo 06-10-2005 10:44 AM

High Wake Drifters.

of course, I have not seen most of the new ones. usually too much hip hop in them for me to enjoy. any suggestions for the newer movies that dont have too much hip hop on them.

dakid 06-10-2005 10:44 AM

i thought all or nothing was ok. i do agree welcome was lame...REALLY lame!

brhanley 06-10-2005 10:44 AM

Not my favorite, but underrated movie = Westside. Features some sick riding by Collin Wright, grabbing (not slapping) spins, rewinds, double grab spins, etc., going wake-to-wake with style. Linked tricks and not just cutting each trick in. That was back in the day when not many videos showed legit grabs on spins, etc.

Also, a very cool double up section where Collin and what's his name (damn, can't remember right now, Mormon double up rider, Chris something) go du-for-du, boosting big.

As for favorite movies all time, pretty much the stock FLF films from back in the day named above (Spray, Hit It!, Skurfs Up, Mayday, etc.).

As for favorite current contemporary movie, no comment. Riding is good, but just not the same.

mmobius2001 06-10-2005 11:19 AM

i have butter effect on order, should get it today. but so far out of the 5 or so i've seen.

1. Evolution: Wake (great sound track and riding)
2. Relentless (really good scenes and soundtrack was ok)

and im on the fence about man overboard, the gator boards flick, the riding is ok, i like rickey and rusty, and i like the way randall rides, but the way they dress and act is just lame.

detonate69 06-10-2005 11:43 AM

Butter Effect, Delta Sessions, and Metronome. I haven't seen a lot but of what I've seen these are my favorites.

kybool 06-10-2005 1:57 PM

Metronome terrible?? No way, I love that vid. Lyman and Necrasson's sections are so sick

ryan26 06-10-2005 2:24 PM

How was 12 honkeys mutated in the DVD

airwarrior04 06-10-2005 6:32 PM

I like the ones that people make on their own! It shows they put effort into them.

airwarrior04 06-10-2005 6:33 PM

I agree metronome was horrible.

nj_alex 06-10-2005 7:00 PM

I began writing my thoughts TWICE as to why I believe 12 Honkeys on DVD is a disappointing mutation, but my explainations kept becoming way too long-winded and esoteric. It's difficult for me to encapsulate all my thougts and feelings on this subject in two or three terse sentences. So how about this...The NEW Coke.

tyboarder03 06-11-2005 12:04 AM

My Side
F4all
and Metronome was pretty good
ryan26 06-15-2005 3:00 PM

saw butter effect today............AWESOME!!!!!!!

eubanks01 06-15-2005 3:18 PM

12 Honkeys
Shafted
All or Nothing
Mayday
Relentless

No particular order...

gruelie 06-15-2005 5:47 PM

I am all about the Retrospect. I like it b/c some of the stuff they do is so lame now but was awesome back then. It makes me laugh every time i watch it.

radikal 06-15-2005 7:15 PM

HYPE !!!!!!!!

walt 06-15-2005 7:35 PM

For those that haven't seen it Exposed is a decent video too.
