I know this has been asked before, but I can't find it in the search. Which do you all prefer and which do you all think would be better for intermediate wakeboarder. Response or recoil?

generally, boards with a continuous rocker are the boards that are ranked best for beginners to intermediate riders simply because the pop is "more consistent and predictable" than 3 stage rockers. But more importantly and in the long run, rocker type is more of a statement and reflection of style than it is for skill level.

Recoil- 3 stage rocker, abrupt/bucking style of pop, mellow speed

Response- Continuous rocker, predictable/less abrupt style of pop, faster speed on edge

The new Reflex- Progressive 3 stage rocker (Mellower 3-stage) that will provide a riding and pop style between the two other boards, a hybrid of sorts...

I had the same question but Reflex vs. Response. I was told by the folks at SS that the Response 142 would fit my needs. Ordered one last week...

I have heard the recoil is a little faster for 09, but nothing super noticeable. The recoil has a very abrupt straight up pop as Jeremy said. However, it is a bit on the slow side. I myself will be purchasing a Reflex sometime this summer! I ride the Response right now and like it, but want something with a little more pop
