Info on "CPS Products" remotes?
I've got an install coming up in a 33' Crownline. The boat has a Sony head unit that the customer wants replaced, but it has the CPS remotes at the helm and transom. The boat is a 2006, and I can't find any information at all about those remotes. I do know they plug into the steering wheel remote port on the back of the head unit. I want to use an Alpine head unit - CEA9886M or 136BT, both of which have SWC ports.
Anybody know if these remotes will work with the Alpines? http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...-50-51_675.jpg |
I'm going to say they aren't compatible. Just replaced our clarion stereo remotes and head unit to a fusion audio system. The plugs for the wired remotes were not even close to the same.

This looks just like it, not sure of it's the same or not.

Thanks for the info Jon, I'm a dealer for PAC. I'll call the rep tomorrow to see what they have to say.
Thomas, you're answer doesn't even apply. Thanks for trying, but this remote I have is universal, where your's are specific to a brand. |

Well I haven't got it worked out just yet, but I did find out who I can contact so that's a start.

Still no luck, anyone else?

my buddy has that remote (or very similar) hooked up to his Sony deck. Is there just a mini rca wire going out the back? Seems like it would be easy enough to test it out... What does the back of it look like?
