how fast are you going?
try taking some weight out the front

9.8 with the wedge down...seemed to be the best wake
I'll try that wednesday!

I thought Bu's do better on the regular side? The people riding need to be on the port side of the boat. XTI is a true inboard, more weight towards the back port side the better. Entrust likes to ride about 9.3-9.5 in his boat, I like to ride 10-11 in mine. Try 9-12 and figure out what's best. I'm guessing faster will be better. Some people disagree but I'm a believer in a big left hand circle to create a nice clean wave...

I think you need get the boat to lean more to the port side. I've posted about my ballast set up a few times. On my boat the foam on top of the wake cleans up when the rub rail gets in to the water.

Don't get in a hurry to free ride, hold the rope for a while. learn to pump the board with your legs. pumping helps you build speed to get back in the pocket.

thanks
that's my brother...he surfed for a bit, but that was the best shot of the wake ...from the video camera
my 10 year old was the camera operator

the rub rail! wow
ok, I'll try that next time

entrustclothing 05-23-2006 4:24 PM

i really think you need less weight in the nose, a heavy nose can cause the wake to flatten out. i would pull that 400# bag out the bow

ord27 05-23-2006 5:18 PM

I'm going out in the morning
I'll try it without filling the bow bags
thanks

Entrust, you had it the first time!! I don't know what happened last time?

Rub rail in the water....

not a very good picture, but...
was really a great goofy side wake today
especially with only 2 people...the surfer and the driver
and I didn't fill the bow ballast...the wake seemed to break further away
thanks for the help
looking forward to trying it with a full crew
and on the regular side
wish I had a better picture
later
