eviltweak 11-17-2008 10:32 PM

are you a beginner or intermediate

toxis 11-18-2008 1:41 AM

You should let us know more info before we can make any recommendations. Height, weight, skill level, what have you tried and liked/disliked...

king_of_the_wake 11-18-2008 5:05 AM

I am a intermediate rider ,iam 5 feet tall. I have tried the wake skate before and I liked it is this enough detail

skateonwater564 11-18-2008 5:14 AM

look at some of the liquid force boards, maybe a hyperlite vinyl. try and find a pretty basic board, but not one that is just a piece of wood with foam on top

wakemitch 11-18-2008 10:03 AM

if you are 5 feet tall you should get the NEW mini 36"

lovin_the_wake 11-18-2008 10:29 AM

I 2nd the New mini

mikebu 11-18-2008 1:25 PM

Who makes this 36" mini? Looking for a board for my kid...

toxis 11-18-2008 1:58 PM

well Kurtis, if you tried the wake skate, you should buy it.

wakemitch 11-18-2008 2:52 PM

Mike, the company is called New.

http://newwakeskates.com/mini.aspx

its a wood concave deck. you can send them any picture to use as your graphic.

i want to try it. i love small wakeskates.

(Message edited by wakemitch on November 18, 2008)

I second tiny wakeskates. The Zariel is coming in a 40 this year, I'm stoked.

mikebu 11-18-2008 8:03 PM

Is 10 years old to young to start wakeskating? My son wakeboarded this summer and has skateboarded since he was 6.

duffmangt 11-18-2008 9:12 PM

start em early! nothing wrong with that

toxis 11-18-2008 9:47 PM

if he's been skateboarding for 4 years and has wakeboarded already, I say you get him on the better of the two sports. Never too early.

wakemitch 11-18-2008 11:10 PM

Mike, definitely start him early. there are some young rippers out there.

ndh2o 11-19-2008 5:32 AM

Never too young. I started my oldest on the wakeskate when he was 5 and I hope to get my youngest out there before that.

lovin_the_wake 11-19-2008 8:58 AM

I've seen 6 and 5 year old kids wakeskate

king_of_the_wake 11-22-2008 1:23 PM

so should i go with the mini or something else

skateonwater564 11-23-2008 9:37 AM

mini, or devotid 38, solid board, fairly small. but its a bi level so if that not what your looking for go with the mini

wakemitch 11-23-2008 12:06 PM

mini

king_of_the_wake 11-27-2008 6:39 PM

how bought the byerly legecy is it a good board

wakemitch 11-27-2008 8:35 PM

i would not recommend the legacy. its pretty awkward to ride. i definitely wouldn't recommend it for a first deck.

king_of_the_wake 11-28-2008 1:01 PM

what about the liquid force ARMADA or the hyperlite CATALYST

king_of_the_wake 11-28-2008 1:02 PM

what about the liquid force ARMADA or the hyperlite catalyst

wakemitch 11-28-2008 1:05 PM

Kurtis, those boards would be really big for you.

like we've said you should go with the mini. Its only 175, it isnt a cut down wakeboard (armada and catalyst), you can have whatever you want as a graphic, and its the right size.

eviltweak 11-29-2008 3:15 PM

The TNT might be small enough if you wan to shell out the cash

king_of_the_wake 12-06-2008 4:05 PM

i have all ready tried the catalyst 112 and i liked it

wakemitch 12-06-2008 5:48 PM

its funny how you ask for our advice and go completely the opposite way. haha

next time you get a board you will understand.

have fun wakeboarding

lovin_the_wake 12-08-2008 8:19 AM

MINI FTW ! ? ! ? ! ? !

king_of_the_wake 12-08-2008 5:02 PM

ok thanks guys

lovin_the_wake 12-09-2008 7:25 AM

So what board are you going with ?

king_of_the_wake 12-20-2008 3:14 PM

i bought the catalist for it was in my price range

eviltweak 12-20-2008 4:01 PM

i just bought my tnt it would have been small enough have fun walking around on a cut down wakeboard

jasonpav 12-20-2008 4:47 PM

I like the catalyst, but it really is a big board.

toxis 12-20-2008 5:18 PM

why did you even ask anyone's opinion then? You basically ignored everyone and went with the catalyst... my guess is because the graphics look cool.

king_of_the_wake 12-22-2008 8:39 AM

I picked the catalalis, for on the mini I did not ride as good.I found I rode better on the catalist then on the mini .

king_of_the_wake 06-02-2009 5:10 AM

Well sorry but I needed to know what was out there

jacob23 06-10-2009 10:08 PM
