I'm trying to get our lists completed for our Pro Tour Prognostication contest, so if anyone knows of a 2005 Jr. Men rider that will be riding pro in 2006, please let me know. Also, if there are any other rookie pros, let me know that as well. This includes pro wakeskate too. Thanks.

Wakeboard- Combs for sure. Pretty sure Rathey and I think Mike Marsh. I heard Reed was wakeskate only. Austin will be pro wakeskate

kneeboarddad 05-03-2006 3:28 PM

Travis Propst pro WB also

David, Does Austin still ride Junior Mens WB?

kneeboarddad 05-03-2006 3:33 PM

He is going to do Jr men for the tour but pro men for all the other tournaments.

Josh Sanders brought a fellow from Oz with him to the 2nd Annual Supra/Moomba jamboree. Apparently Josh thinks this guy is ready for the pro circuit.

He did some demo riding with Russ Wilde as his driver.

I predict this guy is going to be HUGE.

Unfortunately, I don't know his name!

Jeff House will be Pro.

lfxstar 05-03-2006 4:14 PM

Scott Hopkins should be riding pro this year too, but i think he might be in australia doing study abroad

Raequel and Shawna Hoffman will both be riding Pro Women this year.

hoosairboy 05-03-2006 5:24 PM

Who are the Hoffmans?

eternalshadow 05-03-2006 5:34 PM

The Hoffman sisters are a couple of young rippers that definately boast points in the cute factor as well.

wakedad33 05-03-2006 5:55 PM

Shawna won Jr woman at last years Pan-Am in Orlando at 13. Raequel is killing it, road with them last week, WOW. Remember the names, you will hear them again. Good luck in Atlanta girls.....

only 16 women this year. I hope these ladies rock it. I personally think it should be 10 or 12 until theres enough to make a good showing. It doesn't help the sport when you show case riders who can't even throw a 5 and they are supposedly "top" in the world. Last year was embarrasing to female riders when kids who couldn't clear a wake entered and "qualified" pro women.

the girls have a bright future. I have a couple myself coming up but I will wait before they compete on the big stage. Good luck hoffmans.

Ed, would that guy josh brought along be Scott mackey?

ed_g 05-04-2006 3:55 AM

Dave, I am not positive.

I believe the fellow was introduced to everyone as "Scotty".

I was riding in the boat when "Scotty" and Russ were playing...man, "Scotty" can fly!

e

(Message edited by Ed G on May 04, 2006)

Roger- Do you think when you have younger girls out there, that helps push the sport for women. I know the two or so you are talking about and from what I saw most fans thought it was great. Are they tops in the worls? No but the sport needs more girls to get involved and IMO this is a great way to encourage more girls. Look on these sites and I see girls posting everyday but don't know hardly any that compete at a large scale level. The girls on the Tour were very receptive to them and also thought it was positive. The girls definately need to step it up and get more women involved. Look at the # of women vs men on the tour it is very disappointing. Just my $.02
