Wondering what the drive time is up to Shasta from the Bay Area. Will be towing and probably have to stop at some point for the kids!

since your towing... it will probably take at least 4 hours... I'll guess more like 4.5, depending on spend and the amount of stops and such...

4.5 to 5 hours depending on number of stops...80E to 505 to I5N and then straight on till you see the lake!!!

Thanks Guys. Now I just need to get me a houseboat booked up and the fun can begin!

Least expensive boats are Holiday Harbor...best boats are at Jones Valley and Sugarloaf. They have a couple new Twin Anchors boats that are absolutely off the friggin' hook. Had one at the boat show in Ptown...the Escapade...you'd never get me off the thing!! Hot tub, surround sound, 2 BBQ's, wet bar, slide, full kitchen...unreal!! Go to http://www.houseboats.com/shasta/boats_group3.htm and check em out.
Saw the same boat at the show. That's what prompted me to ask about the drive time. I loved the phone from the bbq down to the kitchen - "I need more hot sauce up here!"

Thanks for the info.
