Stamped Concrete Sealing

We had our backyard landscaped recently. We had some stamped concrete installed. Our landscaper was on the cheaper side. And when he was done he told us it should be sealed. So I got a quote on getting it sealed and it came back at about $2K which seemed crazy to me. Anyway does anyone know of anyone that seals concrete in the bay area? Has anyone sealed it on their own. I am not the most handy guy. Is it an easier project? Thanks, Mike

I have never heard of an installer not doing the sealing as well. should have been part of the job.

Go to your masonry supply and buy some Diamond Clear. If you want it really shiny buy some Super Diamond Clear. Make sure the concrete is clean and dry. Pick up some 3/8" nap rollers and roll away. Don't let it get too dry while rolling, apply evenly and liberally. It's really pretty easy and should last 2 years in moderate climates.
