buying a club boat

Found a club boat with 570 hours that I'm interested in, other than the engine and drive line what are some other major issues too look for? What things would you not normally notice?
If it runs smooth and no vibrations no noticable cracks in the hull, everything works what would keep you from buying it a good price?

thanks a bunch for any help!

First thing I would ask for is proof of Service records! People who really take care of their boats have a paper trail of what has been done to it.

A club/skischool boat can be a great purchase or a terrible one. 570 hours is nothing on a school boat and they are pure hwy miles. Most of the time the engine is still warm when it is cranked the next morning.

This may sound silly, but in addition to the service records take a look at the details of the boat. Upulstry, carpet, etc will really show if the boat was care for or ridden hard and put away wet.

Also, have it inspected by a local dealer. The fee is only about $100 and they will check the engine, allignment, etc.

I have seen schools that take great care of their boats and ones that trash them. Good luck.
